Relationship is confusing. It is very confusing.
Being leicester this weekend for S's Bday, I met the girls again.
We were sitting together in a chilly but cozy room and one started talking,
'My boyfriend....' So here we go again, relationships. What else do u expect us to talk about on a Friday night?
Most of us have boyfriends and most of us got troubles. A is not happy about the fact that her bf always puts work before her. She kinda accepts that she is not the priority in his world but every time when he acts like a workaholic, she cannot stop feeling upset and angry. So they fight. And they fight like they've been married for centuries, if you know what I mean. Well, it means the usual 'fake breaking-up procedure':
A guy and a girl are lying together on the same bed but with 20cm space between their bodies.
M:Why are you mad of me?
F: Aren't you know I was (here comes the reason why they start the fight, usually very tiny)
M: I thought you should...(in most cases, the guy will say he is actually thinking for the girl's benefit and that's why he made her wait/take the bus alone/go home early...)
F: How can I know that(the reason the guy did it) if you don't tell me?
M: I thought you know me well enough to get that
F:So you are saying I don't know you? What about you then? Don't you know I would rather go home early/ wait for you/ go there with you (basically the opposite thing that the guy told her to do)...
M:.....................silence(tired, can't be bothered to say anything, still don't see why girl is so upset when he was actually doing that for her own good)
F:(The girl gets even more angry then before from this point)
Okay, fine, since we don't know each other well, why don't we just break up then. What's the point of being together if we don't have a clue what the other one is thinking.
M: ....Are you seriously breaking up with me
F: YES
M: Fine(If the guy is not mature enough or is too angry right now to clean his mind).Let's break up then.
The guy and the girl are still lying on the same bed but with their backs facing each other.
The girl is weeping.
10 or maybe 20 minutes later...
M: Come here
F:.......
M: Come here, baby
The girl (if she is not too stubborn)moves closer to the guy with his arm holding her shoulder.
This is the 'fake breaking-up procedure' and is exactly what I HATE about relationships.
B admits that she doesn't like his boyfriend as much as he does to her. There isn't any passion in it, at least not from her side.
The guy is more like a very close close friend who she has sex with. She does care him a lot for sure but with less love in it.
She kept saying that she thinks people should try to love what is good for them. So maybe she should still continue this relationship.
This is the kind of relationship which I don't like but understand.
Should there be compromise in relationships? If the answer is 'yes', how much should we compromise and to what extent?
This is like an eternal puzzle of life.
So I guess people don't need to be so jealous when they see couples walking on the street holding hands together. They might not be as happy as you imaged.
Oh,damn, it's cold and I'm cold.
